作为雪城华人学生、学者的组织，CSSA致力于帮助华人学生、学者提高在美国职场和学术领域的竞争力。为此， 我们将聘请若干中外教授，华人校友给大家做一些列有针对性的讲座。

作为本次演讲季的开篇，我们荣幸的请到了iSchool的教授 Arthur P. Thomas博士专门为中国学生和学者演讲。他的演讲将回答以下问题：
How to improve ourselves:

1.      How can Chinese students communicate better with US employers during the interview?

2.      How can Chinese students establish their professional social network in the US?

3.      How can Chinese students stand out from other international students? What strengths do you think this group has?

4.      How to prepare interview with a large company? And with a small one? Any difference?

About IM program:

5.      How to differentiate us (IM students) from the Computer Science or MBA guys?

6.      How strong is the IM program? How famous it is in the nation?

7.      When you talk to an employer, how do you usually market the IM students?

8.      If I have to talk about the IM program with some employers who never heard of that before, how to explain it to let them know how great we are?

About TNM program:

9.      As few network companies provide H1B sponsorship, it is so hard for international students to get a network job. What advice do you have for these TNM students? Except working for network companies or network equipment vendors, what other companies can TNM students consider?

10.  Some script languages, such as Perl, will benefit the TNM students seeking for jobs. Maybe our school will consider opening such courses later?

About our faculty:

11.  How many academic areas does the iSchool faculty cover? What are they? What are our strong areas? Who are the representatives?

About the employers:

12.  Under what circumstances will the US employers consider to hire an international student?

13.  Some of us may want to work for a small or medium-size company, how to evaluate whether the company is reliable or not?

14.  What are the employers that have cooperation with our school and also want to hire International students?

Pursue PHD degree:

15.  Which universities have good relationship with SU and iSchool? Can the masters’ students who want to pursue a PHD degree benefit from the relationships?
